Management Team
H. Donlon Skerrett, Chief Executive Officer, has over 30 years of management and strategic marketing experience. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Corporate Development Advisors, a senior-level healthcare consulting practice that includes 19 practitioners and has offices in Philadelphia, Boston and the San Francisco Bay area. Mr. Skerrett also serves as President of PCCI (Pharmaceutical Consulting Consortium, Inc.), an association of over 100 consultants who assist emerging life science and pharmaceutical service companies as a community service. His areas of expertise include management and management consulting, strategic healthcare marketing, business intelligence, reimbursement, medical devices, hospital asset management, and the development of strategic business alliances. Mr. Skerrett has founded and run several companies.
Clinton H. Brown Jr, Vice President for Business Development, is a senior corporate development and licensing executive with over 30 years of experience in domestic and international deal making in the healthcare arena, prinicpally at SmithKline Beecham. He has expertise in all phases of intra- and inter-company assessments, strategic development and contract negotiation, as well as in acquiring and divesting products and companies.
Mark Carvlin, Vice President for Clinical Affairs, has held posts with Bracco Diagnostics and Bristol Myers Squibb, and he was a former officer of the Medical Imaging Contrast Media Assoc. He was a member of the faculty of the Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania and at Georgetown University. His research has focused on using medical imaging in conjunction with diagnostic and therapeutics to evaluate the functional status of organ systems in health and disease. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Atherochem, a development-stage company with novel biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of coronary heart disease caused by atherosclerosis. He is a partner in Mi3 Venture Partners, a venture capital fund pursuing early-stage investments in life science technologies. In addition, he is the founder and Managing Director of Intellectual Capital Development Co, a strategic management consulting company.
Joseph M. Patterson, Ph. D., Chief Operating Officer, is an experienced pharmaceutical executive in drug development. He served as Director Analytical R&D at Teva, as Associate Director Analytical Services and R&D QA at Sterling Health, and as Director Analytical Chemistry and Senior Director Consulting Services at IBAH (Omnicare) Pharmaceutics Services. In these positions he has been actively involved in NDA and ANDA submissions, including meetings with senior FDA officials. In addition, he has considerable expertise in contractor management, project management, client relationship management, laboratory management, and stability management.

In addition to the management team, Dr. Larry Sternson, former President of Elan’s drug delivery businesses, has been associated with N1177 since its inception and is advising on drug development activities.
